Awards Gold and Platinum Advanced Training

This interactive training workshop empowers staff to support young people in evidencing their learning and achievement for each of the Gold and Platinum award levels.

About this Event

This interactive training workshop is aimed at staff that have completed Awards Introductory Training (Award Group Workers) and who have significant hands-on experience of supporting young people with their Youth Achievement Awards. It is also recommended for Internal Verifiers that support Award Group Workers and quality assure Youth Achievement Awards at the Gold and Platinum levels. The training covers in detail the requirements on how young people evidence their learning and achievement at these levels of the Award including specific handouts for young people to help them gather this evidence.

Participants will also gain knowledge of the quality assurance process at these levels that ensures consistent standards across Scotland, essential for the credit rating and levelling of these qualifications on the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework (SCQF).

Learning Outcomes:

  • You will understand the requirements of each award at the Gold and Platinum levels
  • You will be able to support young people to appropriately evidence their learning and achievement for each of the Gold and Platinum award levels
  • You will understand the quality assurance process and the assessment criteria needed to support young people at the Gold and Platinum Award levels
  • You will feel confident to support young people at the Gold and Platinum Award levels

This workshop is delivered online and a link, password and all relevant handouts will be emailed to you between 72 and 24 hours prior to the event.
