Recently, we visited Formartine Youth Project in Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire to ask how it started and how it’s going.

Formartine Youth Project are a fantastic example of how community-based youth work meets the challenges young people face in Scotland’s Rural communities.

Funding is always a challenge with all groups […] Youth Scotland know the benefits of youth work and the difference it can make […] the money can go a long way, if you let youth workers get creative, it can go a long way.
