Secondary School Award Delivery Hub Registration 

Annual registration fee – £500 

Annual Registration Package 

  • Registration to deliver the Hi5, Dynamic Youth and Youth Achievement Awards. 
  • Schools may only submit awards from pupils on their school roll. 

Training 

  • A dedicated face-to-face or online training session, for up to 20 and for no fewer than 10 staff face to face or 8 online, plus 2 codes for online Internal Verifier (IV) training           

               OR 

  •  20 codes to access any scheduled online awards training sessions. You can find more information on workshops, dates and times here:  Awards Training 
  • Access to the Hi5 and Dynamic Youth Awards e-learning module 

Delivering Youth Scotland Awards

Each young person completing an award requires a challenge sheet or booklet. Our awards follow a learning journey through different age and stage, although they can also be started at any entry point.

Hi5 Award:

  • 5+ Years
  • SCQF Level 2
  • Cost per challenge sheet is £6 (This includes standardisation and certification)

Dynamic Youth Award:

  • 10+ Years
  • SCQF Level 3
  • Cost per challenge sheet is £6 (This includes standardisation and certification)

Youth Achievement Awards:

  • 14+ Years for Bronze, Silver and Gold. 16+ Years for Platinum Award
  • SCQF Level 4-7
  • Cost ber booklet is £16 (This includes standardisation and certification)

Support 

  • Online awards support from Youth Scotland development staff for the hub main contact 
  • Annual online hub review meeting with hub main contact to discuss ongoing and future support requirements 
  • Annual Impact Report, which includes Awards Totals, Experiences, Outcomes and Impact, Equalities Data, SIMD Data and Awards Training.  
  • Access to awards materials on the Youth Scotland website 
  • Access to free downloadable themed toolkits 
  • Access to the online submissions platform (Awards Force) 
  • A commitment from Youth Scotland to be constantly developing processes, products, and services to improve and enhance the customer experience 

Responsibilities 

  • The school must nominate a ‘hub main contact’ who will be the point of contact and the conduit for communication between the hub and the Youth Scotland awards team. 
  • Ensure that all staff have completed the required training for the level of awards they are supporting.  
  • Support staff to ensure that the awards are operated within the current guidelines, to the required standards and taking a youth work approach. 
  • Remain current with all developments and changes relating to the awards and award processes, disseminate the information and updates, and maintain up to date records, notifying any changes to Youth Scotland   
  • Review feedback from standardisation, highlighting good practice and suggesting strategies for dealing with any issues.
