iLead

iLead is Youth Scotland’s social development journey for young people, offering opportunities to get involved in everyday leadership.

Our accredited iLead training pathway was co-produced with young people and provides a youth participation and leadership framework that is flexible according to need. The programme develops young people’s everyday leadership skills including teamwork, communication, confidence and decision-making. iLead can be tailored to meet a range of outcomes across themes as diverse as physical activity, climate action, alcohol misuse, financial awareness, mental health, and grantmaking.

The pathway is divided into three stages: Engage, Empower and Advance. Each stage can be accredited with a Youth Scotland SCQF Levelled award.

  • ENGAGE in a range of learning activities
  • be EMPOWERed to turn your ideas into social action
  • ADVANCE as a peer educator and young leader of others.

iLead Engage is the entry stage of the iLead Programme. It can be a one day experience or series of individual workshops, where we build an iLead Inspiration Day to suit the needs of your young people, group and outcomes.

We provide a range of individual workshops that can be structured to give a range of thematic experiences in leadership through games, team building, active fun, sports, STEM, arts, outdoors.
