About Louise

Louise brings 8 years of experience supporting young people with additional support needs and a background in youth work, including Lego based play therapy. Over the last 4 years, she’s dived deeper into the third sector supporting communities to grow, building capacity, and championing enterprise education.

Living on a peedie island in Orkney, Louise is a creative and energetic plate spinner. Her volunteer roles on charity boards and Community Council are important, aiming to make local voices heard in decision making from the ground up, as well as running her own family transport business and an independent rural mental health and wellbeing researcher.

When she’s not working, you’ll spot her by the sea enjoying a cold water dip, kayaking, and snorkelling through the kelp forests or cooking up a feast for friends and family. She loves travel and adventure with her 5 children, and sometimes with their water loving, adventure seeking hen, Columbus in tow.
