About Andy
Andy came to Youth Scotland via another membership organisation, Publishing Scotland. There he was succeeded by Andree and here he has taken over from Mandy, so forgive him if he’s having a bit of an identity crisis! Having started off with a computer science degree he took a 25-year career break as a wind instrument repairer, running his own business supporting amateur and professional players across Scotland and the UK. He’s now using his business and IT skills to support the behind the scenes processes at Youth Scotland. In his spare time he can be found in the garden or playing bassoon in a local community orchestra.
