I had the honour to attend the royal highland show 2025 with Youth Scotland. This was my first year going and I am pleased to say that is was a massive success, I really enjoyed meeting other peoples and listening to what they do as a company.

“I really enjoyed being a part of the Youth Scotland table where we were explaining to family’s / friends/ young people about what we do, and the games we were playing with them too.”

I really enjoyed how we were getting people to interact with us and get their opinions on how their place is to live, if it’s a good place, not so bad or a really bad place. I did enjoy going round and taking photos with the camera and getting loads of people to use the funny props we had it was fantastic.

Meeting the other company/groups that was with us was amazing, speaking to them having a laugh with them really made the days special, I got to learn a lot about farming, and other company who were there with us. One thing I did not enjoy was the rain and the weather, but we do live in Scotland.

After being invited to the RHS 2025 I would be more than pleased to be attending the RHS 2026.

That’s all for now, thanks.

About RYAN

The Rural Youth Action Network (RYAN) provides opportunities for young people from Scotland’s rural communities to come together and share their experiences, have their voices heard, shape decision-making about issues that impact their lives and ensure that Government plans consider their interests and priorities.

This project is a partnership between Youth Scotland and Scottish Rural Action, funded by Scottish Government and the Scottish Rural Network. This project has been designed to work separately but in parallel to the existing Young Islanders Network (YIN) which is also delivered by Youth Scotland.
