Youth Scotland submission to the Cross-Party Group Children and Young People

Youth Scotland is proud to champion and further the cause of universal community-based youth work in Scotland. We were pleased to contribute again to the ongoing #InvestInYouthWork campaign as part of the Cross Party Group on Children and Young People at the Scottish Parliament on 4 February.

Youth Scotland guidance on the resumption of youth work services during Covid-19

Following the First Minister’s announcement today on Scotland’s progression to Phase 3 of Scotland's route map through and out of the crisis, we are pleased to begin planning with our members for the safe resumption of community-based youth work services in accordance with the official guidance.

Youth Scotland appoints Mike Strang as new Chief Officer

I am delighted to say that we have appointed Mike Strang, Chief Officer of the Venture Trust as the new Chief Executive of Youth Scotland. He will start with us on 15th March taking over from Ian McLaughlan who will retire in March 2022.
