About Jill
From a young leader in Girl Guiding, to a leader years later, to becoming a youth worker with the Oasis Youth Centre in Dumfries, Jill has dedicated over 20 years to youth work. In her spare time, Jill enjoys cooking, baking and upcycling projects, photography and embarking on adventures. However, currently her free time is devoted to studying and completing university assignments as she pursues a BA in Community Development at Glasgow University.
As a teenager Jill aspired to be a television presenter and thought she had found the perfect quick-fire way in by sending a letter to Chris Evans on TGI Friday attached with a copy of her ‘Brownie Tea Making’ certificate in the hopes that he would take her on as his tea lady and her talents would be noticed and she would get her own spot. She couldn’t understand why he never got back to her as it was something that he would go for on the show. Years later she discovered that her flatmate never sent the letter!
