Youth Work and Schools Development Manager

We are seeking a Development Manager to lead on an exciting partnership initiative between Youth Scotland, Learning and Teaching Scotland and Scottish Government. 

The successful candidate will join Youth Scotland’s Dynamic Youth and Youth Achievement Awards Team to identify and share good practice models of youth work and school collaboration.  The post holder will also deliver high quality training to teaching and youth work staff to support them in delivering the Awards. 

The post will support the development of young people as successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens and broaden the settings in which young people access the Awards. The post is based in Edinburgh but holds a national remit, therefore the ability to travel and to work some evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our stakeholders is essential.

The closing date for applications is 15 April at 12.00 noon.  Interviews will be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 28 April 2010.
