Youth Scotland’s Vision not Division conference formed part of a UK wide programme promoting the holistic approach to education and valuing the role of non-formal learning in 21st century education.
Aims of the Youth Scotland Vision not Division Conference on 18 June 2010
The conference aimed to:
- share Scottish, UK and wider European approaches to valuing a holistic approach to education.
- offer networking opportunities to share good practice, develop new approaches and enhance opportunities for young people.
- develop delegates understanding of the Scottish Government's key education agenda, the Curriculum for Excellence, and hear practical examples of how it is being implemented.
- enhance understanding of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications framework, developing frameworks across Europe including the European Qualifications Framework and how they can be used to support quality non formal learning
The Event
The conference hosted 43 delegates and speakers from the European Confederation of Youth Clubs and an additional 55 delegates and speakers from Scotland. In total, 17 countries were represented at the event.
