Youth Scotland's - Peer Supporter
Peer Supporters is a new and exciting role for young people aged 14-25yrs, who are taking part in youth activities, programmes or services through a Youth Scotland Member Group or Association.
Peer Supporters will network, link and share ideas about developing new initatives, programmes, events, services and opportunities for other young people across Youth Scotland's membership.
Peer Education is a new development and opportunity within Youth Scotland, that sees young people 12-25yrs gain access to new partnerships for Peer Education including First Aid Peer Educator with St.Andrews First Aid, Social Entrepenuers Peer Educator with Young Enterprise Scotland and our own Stand Up to Sectarianism project. Our Peer Education projects are Peer Led and will form on the basis of interest from our member groups, in association with SPEN, Scottish Peer Education Network we aim to provide a collaborative approach to developing and supporting Peer Education within our membership.
Peer Mentoring is a new development and opportunity that young people aged 18-25yrs can pass on skills, knowledge, experience to their peers and younger members as part of our many programmes or mentoring a young advisors group.
Peer Mentors will be given initial training and support, alonside a personal development plan, Peer Mentors will be given access to Youth Achievement Awards and Qualifications to support their role. Peer Mentors will also be required to undertake a PVG Check.
