Young People Taking the Lead
Young People Taking the Lead aims to ENGAGE young people in new opportunities, INSPIRE them to take social action and undertake personal development and EMPOWER them through support and mentoring to achieve their goals and dreams.
Young People Taking the Lead (YPTTL) values Youth Participation as a vital, core ethos of youth work and bases all its programmes and opportunities around the 3 guiding principles of youth work, but attaching a 4th foundation to represent Article 12 of the UNCRC to value and respect young peoples views and opinions in matters that effect them.
Young People Taking the Lead provides lots of new and exciting projects for young people to take part in as well as support young people as Young Advisors, National Advisors, Peer Educators and Peer Mentors to create, develop and deliver opportunities, programmes, activities and events for others both locally and nationally.

New developments include :-
- PEER Education Training - First Aid Ready - Are You?
- PEER Education Training - Generic Peer Education Skills for Young People and for Adult Tutors
- PEER Mentoring Training - Mentor Me
- Young Leader Training Scheme - With the development of new 10-24yrs leadership programmes Y:Lead, i:Lead and U:Lead set for a phased release in 2016/17.
New Training Opportunities :-
- Participation Essentials - 2 Day Course for workers and volunteers aged 16yrs+
- Young Leader Essentials - 1 Day Event for young leaders and volunteers
Alongside new development to existing programmes and a whole new youth involvement structure for young people from member groups from across the network, where young people can get involved across many stages and programmes.

- Young Decision Makers
- PEER Supporters
- National Advisors

- Volunteers and Mentors
