Peer Education - Training for Young People

Youth Scotland is running a Peer Education residential for young people. The weekend will focus on delivering the Stand Up peer education programme through group activities, challenges and problem solving.

The Stand Up peer leaders residential will combine activities with reflective learning.  The aim is to explore issues surrounding sectarianism and how these may impact in your community.  Participants will be invited to produce a video with the assistance of Media Education as a training tool for peer leaders to take to their groups and projects while at Lendrick Muir.

Learning outcomes:

1.  Peer leaders confidence is raised in leading groups
2.  Peer leaders are better informed about issues around sectarianism
3.  Peer leaders have materials that help to address issues of sectarianism

Who should attend?

Young people aged 14+ who are leaders in their groups.
