Active Scotland - a searchable bank of information from NHS Health Scotland to help young people answer the question - 'where do I go to be active?' Pop in your postcode or town and the website will come up with activities, spaces, places, services and contacts to help young people get active.
Walk It - enter in your start postcode and your end postcode, and this clever site will tell you the quickest route to walk there, how long it will take you depending on how fast you walk and even how many calories you will burn! The site currently only has information for Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen but is developing all the time...

What works for women? - website with examples of ongoing initiatives in the UK that have been successful in increasing physical activity amongst young women and girls. Includes searchable good practice examples and the opportunity to leave your own case study.

Sports Leaders UK - this organisation provides nationally recognised leadership qualifications and awards through sport, dance, basic expedition, language, maths and literacy that help people whatever their age or background develop essential life skills such as organising, motivating, communicating and working with others. Sports Leaders UK in Scotland works in partnership with Girls on the Move to deliver a number of leadership courses.
Funding
Big Lottery Fund 2014 Communities - a funding programme from the Big Lottery that is focused on building a legacy of well-being before and beyond the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Grants will be offered to to sports clubs, voluntary and community organisations, community councils and schools.
