UnLtd Sport Relief Awards
This fund, delivered by the charity UnLtd, aims to back young people who want to use sport or recreation to bring together people in their communities who are experiencing conflict or who may be divided by background or culture.
Possible examples might include engaging young people from different backgrounds by organising an indoor cricket mini world cup, a tournament designed to channel energies away from fighting and into football or an art project that uses art to reduce tensions between local groups.
Young people in the UK aged 11 to 21 can apply who are "prepared to go the extra mile" and use their passion to bring respect and understanding to their communities. Individuals or groups can apply for awards of between £250 and £10,000 as well as practical support and advice.
The fund will be open for new applications from the 24th July 2009.
