2011 Leadership courses in full swing
Girls on the Move, Youth Scotland’s project designed to increase physical activity levels among girls and young women, has been stepping it up a gear with an exciting programme of leadership courses. A fantastic Award in Dance Leadership course has already taken place in Aberdeen in February, with all the young women gaining their Sports Leaders UK Level 1 Award.
The project also ran a successful course in partnership with Outward Bound at the beginning of March. Young women from across Scotland got involved in a range of outdoor activities, and even braved a quick dip in a cold loch!
And on Sunday 27th March Girls on the Move delivered a successful one day Active Clubs course in Fife. Congratulations to all the young women that have takend part in the courses so far - we hope you feel equipped and inspired to deliver and lead some exciting projects within your own communities. Don't forget to keep in touch and let us know how you get on!
