Case Studies

Ayr United Goals for Girls - 12 young women aged between 12 and 18 took part in weekly session of activities which included aerobics, volleyball, badminton and football. 

Cafe K Fit and Fruitful - young women aged 13-20 took part in activity sessions including self defence, dance, rugby and dodge ball as well as educational activities to compliment the physical sessions. This group also produced their own DVD of the project.

Dance Extravaganza - North Marhill Youth Project and Cube Housing Association ran a programme for young women of different dance styles, culminating in a performance at the annual Go Dance event at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow.

Invergordon Cheer - After-school cheerleading sessions for young women in the Invergordon area.

Macara Youth Group - 20 girls and young women took part in a summer programme offering a range of physical activities at Dundee International Women's Centre.

Mums on the Run 25 young mothers took part in the Jog Scotland Mums on the Run jogging and power walking project in Paisley.

Pennypit Lets Get Fit - This project targeted young women in the East Lothian area and involved a range of activities inclduing dance, kayaking, yoga and rock climbing.
