Youth Scotland is pleased to announce that it has been awarded Living Wage Employer status. The organisation is the latest in the third sector to join the growing ranks of agencies that have been awarded.

The Living Wage Employer campaign is an initiative from the Poverty Alliance, in partnership with the Living Wage Foundation and funded by the Scottish Government.

Ian McLaughlan, Youth Scotland Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted to announce that we have been recognised for paying our staff a fair, decent wage. All of our staff, with one exception, were already placed above the living wage limit and this award endorses our commitment to supporting families living in challenging times.”

The current rate of the living wage is £7.85, while the minimum wage is set at £6.50.
